Fall 2013 is in full swing and IRP has a preliminary profile of the students who are attending El Camino College and El Camino College-Compton Center. These figures are estimates based on enrollment as of Census date (last day for students to drop classes).
El Camino College enrollment is 23,916, a 2 percent decrease from the previous Fall term. El Camino College-Compton Center enrollment is 7,678 which is a 2 percent increase in enrollment from the previous Fall term. Both campuses have seen a decreased in the number of students who are under 17 years old. At the Compton Center, there is an increase in the number of students enrolled in 12 or more units.
It will be interesting to see if these enrollment trends stay the same once we receive official Fall 2013 enrollment counts from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office in the Spring 2014.
